Contexts that Inspire Creativity and Curiosity in Project Based Learning

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

How can we as educators nurture the creativity of our children by providing real and meaningful contexts and materials that provoke inquisitiveness and encourage tinkering and a willingness to explore? What does a teacher’s role look like as we research the world alongside our children? Why is teacher collaboration a powerful tool for Project Based Learning? In this workshop, participants will gain insight into the how and where to begin inquiry-based learning projects with their students. Teachers will experience firsthand the Project-Based Learning process as they engage in their own inquiry within different contexts and mediums and gain strategies for how to inspire their students to be curious and look closely. Attendees will also explore ways to make thinking and learning visible on the iPad and set-up Digital portfolios to document, organize, and share their students’ processes of learning.

Please download Explain Everything, Seesaw, Paper 53and Book Creator (free veresion is fine) before attending this session.
